Now your library never closes! The new Rhode Island Public Library E-Zone
allows library patrons to browse, checkout, and download digital books
audio books and eBooks anytime of the day from anywhere in the world.
Getting
started:
The new online service is available by visiting http://riezone.lib.overdrive.com.

* For audio books you will need OverDrive Audio Book
* For eBooks you will need Adobe eBook
* If you have a Mobipocket device you will need Mobipocket eBook.
Next Step:
Activate the software you just downloaded by opening it and following
the onscreen directions.
Step Three:
Browse the site for books you want to read or listen to. When you find
an item you are interested in and it is available, add it to your cart.
If the title is not available because it is not checked out, you may
place a hold. You will be notified by email when the book becomes available
for download. You can have up to 6 books in your cart at any time and
download all 6 if you wish.
Step Four:
Click the "Proceed to Checkout" link to check out the items
you want. Enter your library card number and click the Sign-in button.
The next screen tells you how many items you have checked out and how
many more you can take. Click confirm checkout to proceed.
Step Five:
Download the file to your computer. Use the OverDrive Audio Book software
to download parts of an audio book or all of it at once.
Last Step:
Once the book is on your PC you may listen to it there, transfer
it to an MP3 player or burn it to a CD. Click on the book you want
to transfer
or burn. Plug in your MP3 player and click the Transfer button. Overdrive
will find the device and transfer the files for that book. Click
on the Burn button to use your CD-burner. Ebooks are read on the
