You don't have to be inside the library building to use our online resources. You can enjoy ebooks, audiobooks, research materials, and children's ebooks from home or on the go. You can also apply for a library card, ask a reference question, and keep in touch with the library via social media.

eBooks, audiobooks and streaming video available for all of your mobile devices, ereaders, and computers. For your phone, download the Libby app from the App Store for iphones or from Google Play for your android.
Stream great films and visit the Kids Kanopy section for high quality children's films. Includes a selection of Master Classes for you to enjoy.
Flipster - available through AskRI
Popular adult and childrens magazines. Flipster offers an easy, browse-able reading experience. Users can browse magazines by category as well as perform searches for specific periodicals. An online newsstand provides a carousel of the most recent issues, as well as a carousel of all issues allowing for quick access to magazines.
MOBILE ACCESS: Look for Flipster in your device’s App store. Select Get Started then “AskRI – RI Office of Library And Information Services”. Tap “Enter Zip Code” and enter your zip code.

Udemy - a new resource for taking classes online
Gale Presents: Udemy is an online learning platform for adults who want to improve work-related skills or further develop a personal interest. Users can search through more than 4,000 continuously updated, on-demand video courses across 75 categories in business, technology, design, and more. All courses are taught by world-class instructors and offer a tailor-made learning experience for those who want to learn new technologies and skills to stay competitive in a changing workforce.
With a library card, and a Google or Microsoft account, patrons can remotely access thousands of online courses as well as select instructors and content that best match their skills needs and learning preferences.

Get a new library card or renew your card
Any person who lives in or pays property taxes in Rhode Island is eligible for a free library card that is valid for use at all Rhode Island public libraries. Simply apply or renew online and indicate the public library that you wish to call your home library.
