Learn basic flower arranging and make your own bouquet to take home! All supplies are provided. Best for ages 12 and up.

Join us for this workshop with Ocean State Media to tell multi-media story of the book that planted a seed in your life. In this program for all ages you'll work with the librarians and Ocean State Media educators to brainstorm about important books in your life and create a multi-media presentation for the group. Our popular Open Mic Night is now a monthly event! Join us at the George Hail Free Library for a gathering of artists of all kinds. This cozy night of community will feature an open-mic for musicians, poets, writers, and anyone else compelled to take the stage.
Our next Open Mic is on September 9th.
Knitters Club
Calling amateurs and professional knitters! Come knit in our circle! Bring a current project or start a new one!

Book Discussion Groups
COMING SOON! Jane Austen Book Club

Are you an Austenophile? Have you never read any of her books but have always wanted to? Do you love to love (or hate) the different adaptations? If so, this book club is for YOU.
We are starting by reading each of Austen's books in order. Come to the meeting having read the book and watched an adaptation of your choosing. Our first meeting will be about Sense and Sensibility on October 27 at 6pm.
Call the library and speak to Meredith or Amelia for more information.

New members are always welcome. Each participant is encouraged to talk about a book they would like to recommend to others.

Books on Main is a monthly book club sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Our next meeting is on August 19 at Pomodoro Italian Kitchen at 6 pm. Books are supplied by the library.
